Call time: 10:30 @ The Westin. I am driving the moving truck so students need their own ride

Mass and conferral of diplomas: 12:00-2:00

Western Springs Memorial Day

Monday, May 27th

Call time at Naz: 8:30

Step off for parade: 10:00

*Members wear tan/khaki shorts, band shirt, band hat

LaGrange Park Pet Parade

Saturday, June 1st

Call time at Naz: 8:00

Step off for parade: 9:30

*Members are in full marching uniform

Monday-Friday, July 29th- August 2nd

*Parent Potluck BBQ is August 2nd following the parent performance

Band Camp 2019 Dates Released!

Good morning all!

First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for supporting the gift of music education for your child! It really is one of the most important and rewarding activities available!

Last night’s concert was such an awesome experience! All of the students performed at a high level, and I could not be prouder of their accomplishments. I am so proud of the growth each individual is making, and I am excited for what the future holds for each and every one of them. I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful music from all of the performing students!

Looking ahead to the 2019/2020 school year, I wanted to get the band camp dates out as soon as I could for your planning purposes with vacations/reunions/etc. It is the same week as last year. It is important for the growth of the band both morally and in a performance manner that each student is in attendance. Please see below:

Parents of Beginning Band students: I would love to have your child continue on with one of the band classes next year (Concert Band/Wind Ensemble/Percussion Ensemble) As evidenced yesterday, we make all athletics and clubs work with band! I was a three sport athlete, all four years of my high school career. If you have any questions, I would love to answer them!! Your children are a pleasure to work with and they rocked last night!!

The Christmas Spectacular!

All are welcome for the annual Christmas Spectacular!! The bands and choirs will be performing Christmas Favorites! It is held in the CSJ Chapel!

Naz Jazz Band works with Dr. Shawn Salmon of SXU!

The Jazz Band had the opportunity

to work with an outstanding jazz educator. Dr. Shawn Salmon from SXU came in and spent the afternoon with the students!!! Thank you again for spending the afternoon with us! You can listen to his trio on Spotify. They are called Tenor Madness!

Senior Day Tonight!

Come on out and celebrate our Seniors TONIGHT!!! Line-up is 6:15 with the ceremony at 6:30. Hope to see you all there. Here is a picture of the majority of them from the State of the Art Competition from their freshmen year!
